This is fishy

Yo TailCatters,

As I'd mentioned, the fish fry that we football families traditionally host for the St Xavier families will be held the morning of the game on 10/24 at John Carroll. Just like a normal TailCat, we families prepare the food and host it. In this case, we also bear the expense of hosting the St. Xavier families who can attend for free.

A few of us have waded through the early stages of organizing and planning and placing orders for the fish, etc. There will be an informal invitation to answer some of your questions about the details, too, if you haven't been involved before. We will be accepting money and reservations from the St Ignatius families. We are asking for $10 per adult and $5 for children 12 or less.

It is no small undertaking in terms of effort and preparation and cost - we expect the total will come in around $1,600-1,700, about what it has in years past. Yet it's alot of fun and the St. X families have been VERY impressed each year with the operation we put on for them. So in true St Ignatius fashion, we need to rally 'round and make it another smashing success!

So keep an eye out for the signup sheet at the next few TailCats. Note that we will not turn down donations - or offers to help, or ideas for sides, etc, etc.
