Whether alumni, parents, students or friends, we have all come to love Wildcat Football! So, when we are not in the stadium cheering on our team, we can meet here to discuss the game and plan the fun.

Week 2: Details....

Well it's Tuesday and Friday can't come soon enough. So here are the details for the TAILCAT and Parking Location.

St.Ignatius Wildcats vs. Bedford Bearcats

  Friday, Sept. 3, 2010
BEDFORD BEARCAT STADIUM

TAILCAT LOCATION:
Practice Field – Parking Lot off Columbus Road
South of Bearcat Stadium

TAILCAT TIME
Anytime after 4:00 PM - Workday impedes early arrivals

THEME: GRAB AND GO!
Due to the time frame Grab and Go items may include wings, sandwiches, Gyros (Great down the
street there) and other items. Checking the Food Channel and Rachel Ray Magazine for ideas.

BLUE OUT
We have learned that Bedford will have a “GREEN OUT” per our sources and there has been a suggestion for a uniform Wildcat color…..so like in college games perhaps we can try this as a BLUE OUT!
While the freedom of expression is important – perhaps trying the BLUE of the BLUE AND GOLD.
So a BLUE OUT to get the WILDCATS that victory and start a great Labor Day weekend.

BEDFORD GAME
Tailcat Parking Information:
PRACTICE FIELD PARKING LOT
Entrance on COLUMBUS Road

Bedford High School is located on Northfield Road – south of I-480. The TAILCAT will be held in their Parking lot next to their Practice Field. Access is from Columbus Rd (Go past the school to the 2nd Street and turn left – school parking lot will be on the left).

Week2: Wildcats vs. Bedford

We are in contact with the Bedford Athletic Department and have received the "Go-Ahead" to have the TAILCAT on their PRACTICE FIELD - on the School Campus.  It is south of the football field and can be reached by turning onto Columbus Road from Northfield Rd.
No worries we are aligning the TAILCAT SATELLITE to take photos of the area and provide details - so ...GPS not needed just yet.
THEME - "Grab and Go" - A working Title as the Game is at 7:00 PM - it is a Friday and our economy does need you to work and therefore it may take sometime to get there - traffic on 480 and all.  So an expectation of TAILCAT CUISINE should be lessened and therefore the idea of easy to bring dishes makes sense.  A table if your contribution is bigger than 1 sq foot - but by piling on - we may need tables (there is a Tailcat “Jug” tradition for people who are generous with their food/contributions but don't bring tables to put them on....)
TIME - Well probably sometime after 400 pm.  Some early TAILCATTERS (No Tim and Wendy - Make that Tim I don’t think Wendy was as early - as they will be returning from out of town - and well, their rights to TAILCAT MANCAVE are available as we may have seen the last of the mobile Mancave!)  volunteers are welcome!  Then again, we may just hold our cell-phones together and watch past Iggy Highlights and Football games (I am only in charge of Internet communications) may be present.
Thank you for your responses for the TEST EMAIL.  Many have asked to remain on the list and World Peace we can add in there.
Thanks again - some specifics by tomorrow.
An exciting day on Saturday and a memory for all despite the outcome - the Cats played hard and in a place very few high school teams get to play.

A few thoughts after Game 1

In a few hours the sun will become up....some words used in the past when the result of a Wildcat football game was not what we had hoped.

But on the ground of the Port of Cleveland Parking lot the renewal of Wildcat fellowship and Tailcat spirit occurred. In what I believe is the biggest TAILCAT that ever occurred...football and fellowship was back.

I want to thank all the people that helped me connect the dots in this TAILCAT. I want to thank Cheri Ramos for the countless hours she devoted to the Tailcat activities as well as the other captains’ moms, Jane Grebenc and Robin Strippy. Everyone assisted in the start of this season and next Friday night can’t come quick enough.

At the Tailcat was the entire Tailcat history with original TAILCAT families from 2003 and through all those who have come to make the TAILCAT an part of Wildcat Football and important part of Ignatius Saturdays.

It is hard to believe that was started as a simple idea to gather together outside before a game - has been part of Ignatius football and allowed so many to enjoy the day. So...while the game may have not been what we hoped for (and all respects to a good opponent) ...Friday is only 6 days away....and so it begins....but another great memory.

Go Cats!

Week 1 - Charity Game St. Ignatius Wildcats vs. Lake Catholic

Hello Wildcat Fans!

Well, the start of our Wildcat season begins!  What better place than Cleveland Browns Stadium  - what a dream for our boys!

For us tailcatters, our season begins as well!  Please see the attached flyer regarding parking for this coming Saturday.  Tailcat Consultant Axel Hoyer has been able to secure PREPAID parking for $6.00 at the Port Authority Lot across from the stadium. This is being done so that we can have an area to tailgate!   How convenient is that?!!  Please know that only those who have PREPAID will be issued a parking pass!

TIME

Let's say 4:00!  Rest assured if you want to take in both games that day (there is a game at 3:00), we've heard that our veteran, seasoned tailcatters are planning a TAILCAT OCCUPATION around 2:30 and will welcome any early birds!!!

THEME

Let's start with Italian Week!  Pizza, pasta, pepperoni bread...........It's a theme, - not a mandate.  Feel free to bring whatever dish you wish to share!  We're sure there will be grilled sausages from our veteran grillers!

TAILCAT TRADITIONS/GUIDELINES

We will supply the paper products, garbage bags, etc. Tables and canopies are always needed and appreciated.  Please bring your own chairs.  Also, please remember you are responsible for your own set up and clean up.

Last year, tailcatter Gina McVey created a great website/blogsite called "EverythingTailcat".  tailcat.blogspot.com.  Please log in and sign up!  We'll be posting recaps and pictures of our tailcats!  Anyone wishing to blog/post pictures are welcome!

SPREAD THE WORD - ALL ARE WELCOME!  LET'S MAKE THIS A SEASON TO REMEMBER FOR ALL!

Hope to see everyone on Saturday!

 GO CATS!
